Cowichan Artisans – Longform Promotional Video

The Challenge

How do we help an artisan community in British Columbia’s beautiful Cowichan Valley get awesome video coverage to market their upcoming studio tour in a limited time frame? The challenge: film 10 artists in their individual studios in 10 different locations in 12 days.

Our Solution

By tightly scheduling the 10 artists, we were able to capture the needed footage within the allotted time while simultaneously developing scripts remotely with the home office back in London. Scripts were needed for not only the main compilation video but also for five separate artist videos.

The Results

Using a drone, along with gimbal, handheld, and tripod techniques, we were able to capture the full range of artist talents in a variety of settings and deliver the needed video in time for the artists to market their tour. As well, the individual artists who opted for separate individual videos were able to post their videos on their respective websites.

What they had to say

"At our group meeting last night, we set up a laptop and we all watched the long video on a big TV. I am pleased to tell you it was met with a resounding approval by all! It's wonderfully interwoven between all of us and shows some of the fabulous scenery that our area is known for."
